Amazon has again been engaging in unlawful salary practices, according to French unions.
Amazon’s management has been attempting to misclassify and, therefore, wrongly remunerate its staff.
France’s Commerce sector trade unions, as well as employers’ organisations, have voted unanimously to call on Amazon to respect collective agreements, which define the right of employees, especially regarding their remuneration and classification.
Trade unions state that they will not hesitate to seize the competent jurisdictions in order to obtain a pay rise and a reassessment of status for hundreds of unfavorably treated employees.
It is clear that even Amazon, the biggest e-commerce player, must respect the results of collective bargaining.
