On Thursday 21 February, the Social Dialogue in Industrial Cleaning adopted its new work programme for 2019 and 2020.
Building on the success of the Best Value Guide in Cleaning Services, the social partners in Industrial Cleaning remain committed to strengthening the social dialogue at European level.
Isabel Yglesias, Director of EFCI stated: ‘We are proud to engage with Uni Europa in developing a new work programme for the European Social Dialogue. The new work programme will allow us to study the impact of digitalisation on our industry and continue developing tools to foster health and safety and for the valorisation of the sector. We are looking forward to fruitful and constructive exchanges and outcomes!’
Amongst others, the work programme aims to analyse changes in the sector, engage in regulatory issues, establish common guidelines on sexual harassment and map occupational hazards and their prevention.
Mark Bergfeld, Director of UNI Europa Property Service stated: ‘Our work with EFCI is a crucial building block to ensuring that cleaners across Europe work and live in dignity and enjoy the same rights that other workers have. For UNI, the Sectoral Social Dialogue is key to developing sectoral collective bargaining and ensuring quality in cleaning services.’
