The EU is currently negotiating a large number of trade agreements with countries across the world, such as TTIP, the trade agreement between the European Union and USA. UNI Europa follows these negotiations closely.

TTIP, the transatlantic trade and investment partnership, is the trade agreement being negotiated between the European Union and USA. Whilst the negotiations are ongoing, the agreement will most likely include an investor-state-dispute-settlement system. This system which goes under several names, the latest ICS, gives privileges to foreign investors in Europe as they can subject state regulations to often multi-million dollar court settlements. The question is: can collective agreements also be subject to such settlements?
