Together with the FES Competence Centre Future of Work<\/a>, UNI Europa has published a\u202fnew report titled \u201cArtificial Intelligence and Automation in Retail. Benefits, challenges, and implications\u202f(a union perspective)<\/a>” <\/strong>autored by Wil Hunt<\/strong><\/a> and Steve Rolf<\/strong><\/a> , Research Fellows at the Digital Futures at Work Research Centre (Digit<\/a>) at the University of Sussex.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The aim of the project was to help affiliated trade unions in the Commerce sector get a timely insight into how technological trends are reshaping retail. The impact of Covid-19 is also a focus as well as looking at the role of trade unions in relation to these changes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The report outlines recent technological developments in retail that are linked to AI and automation and discusses the implications for consumers, retail organisations and\u202f\u2013 especially\u202f\u2013 workers and unions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
