It was the first in-person meeting since the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Topics discussed included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tackling Violence and Harassment in the Care sector<\/li>\n<li>Labour Shortages, Labour Turnover &amp; Understaffing<\/li>\n<li>Private Equity in Care<\/li>\n<li>Care, Collective Bargaining and the Cost-of-Living Crisis<\/li>\n<li>Organizing in Nursing Homes<\/li>\n<li>Organizing Homecare workers<\/li>\n<li>The EU Care Strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The unions elected Pierangelo Raineri of FISASCAT-CSIL (Italy) as President. <br \/>\nIn his first speech as UNI Care Europa President Pierangelo Raineri detailed UNI Care Europa\u2019s successes in advocating for enhanced trade union access and rights in the sector in the context of the European Commission\u2019s European Care Strategy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Elected: Pierangelo Raineri is the UNI Europa Care President.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pierraineri?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@pierraineri<\/a>!
