This is a unique opportunity for trade unions to promote workers\u2019 collective power. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"UENormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">On 13 February 2024, UNI Europa organised a workshop with its member unions to discuss how to make the most of these national action plans in their respective countries. UNI Europa affiliates from 17 countries took part in the interactive workshop, which discussed multi-employer bargaining, the minimum wage directive and how to promote collective bargaining. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"UENormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The following day, the focus shifted to a political analysis of the minimum wage directive and the need for strong national action plans. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"UENormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The workshop is part of the EU-funded Level-Up project, which looks not only at what policymakers can do, but also how trade unions can promote collective bargaining. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/news\/workshop-on-developing-multi-employer-bargaining-focus-on-the-finnish-commerce-sector\/\">four<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/news\/third-workshop-on-developing-multi-employer-bargaining-focus-on-the-slovakian-finance-sector\/\">different<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/news\/second-workshop-on-developing-multi-employer-bargaining-in-hungarian-commerce-sector\/\">workshops<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/news\/first-workshop-on-sustaining-multi-employer-bargaining-in-the-belgian-finance-sector\/\">have<\/a> been organised over the past year.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the next two years, the majority of EU Member States will have to develop national action plans to strengthen collective bargaining, mandated by the EU Directive on Adequate Minimum Wages.
