Working time arrangements vary sector by sector, and workplace by workplace. Part-time and full-time jobs, <\/span>more or less flexibility and predictability<\/span>, remote work: <\/span>there are dozens<\/span> of models<\/span> \u2013 and <\/span>each of them <\/span>has<\/span> a strong impact on the quality of worker\u2019s life, inside and outside their workplaces.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To support services sectors unions in recogni<\/span>s<\/span>ing, assessing and negotiating fair working time models<\/span>, UNI Europa today kicked off <\/span>the EU-funded project \u201cFATIMA \u2013 Fair working time matters\u201d.<\/span> A number of UNI Europa <\/span>member union<\/span> are directly involved in the project<\/span> to<\/span> en<\/span>sure a strong link between research<\/span> and<\/span> policy work<\/span>,<\/span> and what workers experience in their daily activities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During next two years, four target sectors \u2013 ICTS, commerce, care and property services \u2013 will be at <\/span>core<\/span> of the main project activities: research on working time models \u2013 with an innovative checklist <\/span>to help assess<\/span> what is \u201cfair\u201d <\/span>or<\/span> not<\/span> \u2013,<\/span> four sectoral workshops<\/span> and a catalogue of<\/span> policy recommendations.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A call for tender<\/a><\/span> has just been launched to identify the experts who are going to work on these deliverables. <\/span>Find out more and apply here until 9 May 2024.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n For more information, please contact: <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ilaria Costantini<\/a> – Commerce Project Coordinator<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Birte Dedden<\/a> – ICT & Related Services Director<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
