Part-time and full-time jobs, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">more or less flexibility and predictability<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, remote work: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">there are dozens<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of models<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2013 and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">each of them <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> a strong impact on the quality of worker\u2019s life, inside and outside their workplaces.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To support services sectors unions in recogni<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing, assessing and negotiating fair working time models<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, UNI Europa today kicked off <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the EU-funded project \u201cFATIMA \u2013 Fair working time matters\u201d.<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">A number of UNI Europa <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">member union<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> are directly involved in the project<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">en<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sure a strong link between research<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> policy work<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and what workers experience in their daily activities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During next two years, four target sectors \u2013 ICTS, commerce, care and property services \u2013 will be at <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">core<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of the main project activities: research on working time models \u2013 with an innovative checklist <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to help assess<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> what is \u201cfair\u201d <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> not<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> \u2013,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> four sectoral workshops<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and a catalogue of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> policy recommendations.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni-europa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/20240409_Project_FATIMA_Call_for_tender_Experts.pdf\">call for tender<\/a><\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> has just been launched to identify the experts who are going to work on these deliverables. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Find out more and <strong>apply here until 9 May 2024.<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For more information, please contact: <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><a href=\"mailto: ilaria.costantini@uniglobalunion.org\">Ilaria Costantini<\/a> &#8211; Commerce Project Coordinator<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><a href=\"mailto: birte.dedden@uniglobalunion.org\">Birte Dedden<\/a> &#8211; ICT &amp; Related Services Director<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><a href=\"mailto: alessandra.giannessi@uniglobalunion.org\">Alessandra Giannessi<\/a> &#8211; Care &amp; Property Services Project Coordinator<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Working time arrangements vary sector by sector, and workplace by workplace.
