Under the slogan “Stronger together”, the 8th congress of Fellesforbundet took place in Oslo on 11-16 October 2019 bringing together more than 500 delegates. This congress was the first organised after the merger with the Transport Trade Union Federation.
During the congress a new leadership was elected, including our colleague Knut Øygard who will continue to be in charge of the graphical sector and collective bargaining.
On the much-debated issue of temporary workers/staffing agencies, a text has been adopted with the aim to put an end to this practice in the long run in Norway, and immediately in some regions and sectors.
The heated issue on the EEA (European Economic Area) Agreement: Congress did not vote for any leave, but adopted a position with a lot of critical remarks on the negative effects of the agreement such as social dumping and race-to-the-bottom and highlighting the lack of policies facing them.< Previous postNext post >
