French union sends open letter to President on protection of whistleblowers

On 6 April 2016, the French trade union FO-FEC (Fédération des Employés et Cadres Force Ouvrière) sent an open letter to the President of France, François Hollande prompted by the information revealed in the ‘Panama Papers’. FO-FEC is urging urging the president and the French government to ensure adequate protection for whistleblowers in the banking sector.
