UNI calls on Tesco Ireland to respect its workers

Wednesday 25 May 2016

After years of corporate mismanagement and falling revenue, Tesco recently announced that the company experienced a turnaround for 2015. Despite this positive news Tesco continues to try and force its workers to pay the price for past corporate mismanagement.

In Ireland, the company is seeking to impose pay and benefit cuts on thousands of its workers; Meanwhile, Tesco is making headlines for heavily rewarding top executives in millions of pounds.

UNI Global Union has sent the attached communication to Tesco CEO David Lewis condemning their behaviour in Ireland and expressing solidarity with Tesco’s Irish workforce and their union Mandate.
