Projects INTEL Next Generation – Promoting quality in training and matching aspirations of job seekers through Social Dialogue in private security services

This project will support and develop social dialogue with a focus on young workers/apprentices.

The project will follow-up on the previous “INTEL” project and develop recommendations and solutions for sectoral Social Partners that will help:

  • promote, and improve, VET systems;
  • better consider in their Social Dialogue activities aspirations of young workers;
  • promote and strengthen sectoral Social Dialogue to effectively tackle labour and skills shortages in the private security services.

To this end, with support of UNI Europa and associated partners in five countries, CoESS will:

  • conduct research on training systems and curricula in the private security services in the EU Member States;
  • run a perception study in six EU Member States among apprentices/young workers in the security services in order to evaluate the sector’s attractiveness, how to match aspirations of workers and adequacy of training systems – supported by associated partners in Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Romania. The study will look into expectations of young workers concerning purpose of the job, working conditions, training, career pathways and the use of technology.
