UNI Europa is a European trade union federation based in Brussels, which represents 240 trade unions with more than 7 million members throughout Europe. We promote and advocate workers and trade union interests towards EU institutions and multinational companies.
UNI Europa communications department is looking for a skilled videographer with a strong track record in video shooting, editing and production, with a particular sense of how to create engaging video content for social media. The five strategic pillars of the work are:
- Producing video content for urgent political events in real time (see here)
- Producing longer-term video projects, including short documentaries (see here)
- Developing a coherent visual style for UNI Europa
- Supporting member organisations with video capacity (see here)
- Innovating constantly with your own ideas and projects
The videographer will work 20 hours per week in close coordination together with the Director of Communications, Daniel Kopp, as part of the broader communications team and the wider network of communicators across UNI Europa’s membership.
Presence in the office is required on a weekly basis in coordination with the Director of Communications.
Our successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a videographer or similar role
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Good experience in filming video on set and on location
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio equipment
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of graphic design, motion graphics and visual effects is a plus
- Experience with live streaming is advantageous
- Understanding of trade unions and identification with the labour movement’s values is desirable
