After a successful two year implementation program, the UNI Europa Mentoring Program is currently carrying out a Closing Workshop, with the support of FES, to review the activities, achievements and obstacles that the participating tandems have faced throughout this implementation period.
Nine tandems from Hungary, Poland, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Germany, France, Portugal and Belgium are meeting in Warsaw, Poland from October 8th-9th, to discuss and exchange experiences as well as to receive further training on issues like organizing and leadership.
For two consecutive years, the UNI Europa Mentoring Program has served as a pilot program for the UNI Mentoring Program which derives from the That’s Why Campaign, and which seeks to actively engage women in union work and to form women and young women into union leaders. To date, the Mentoring Program has been successfully launched in three UNI regions: Europe, Americas and Asia. It has more than 180 participants around the world who are active in carrying out activities involving organization, leadership and capacity building, training and union work.< Previous postNext post >
